S Series MDU/MBU Enclosures

The range of MDU enclosures from HellermannTyton provide high fibre capacity and flexibility within the multi dwelling unit (MDU) .

The range has been designed in a variety of sizes to service the varying sizes of apartment blocks or office buildings:

• The S5, the largest enclosure in the range, offers up to 432 fibres or 96 connectorised fibre ports
• The S4 offers 240 fibres or 24 connectorised fibre ports. 
• The S3, the middle sized enclosure offers up to 96 fibres or 24 connectorised ports
• The S2 XL offers 32 LC APC customer connections
• The S2 offers 24 LC customer connections
• The S1 offers 12 connectorised fibre drops
• The S1 XS, the smallest in the range provides 12 connectorised fibre drops, designed for the smaller residential or building unit.

A wall mountable enclosure manufactured from V0, UV rated polycarbonate designed for both internal and external applications within the last mile of the FTTx network. 
The enclosure can be fitted with either the 250µm or the 900µm HellermannTyton IR fibre management systems or a combination of both offering the adaptability of a wide range of point to point (P2P)  or Point to Many Point (P2MP) applications.
Both IR fibre management systems can be supplied with a range of pre-installed splitter assemblies reducing installation times and simplifying the connection process.

Application Information The HellermannTyton S4 series of wall mountable enclosures are suitable for both internal and external applications and have been developed for use within the last mile of the FTTX network.

The enclosure has been designed to accommodate the HellermannTyton IR Fibre Management system and offers point to point (P2P) configuration.

The enclosure can be supplied as a splice only configuration that offers up to 240 fibres.

The enclosure can be fitted with the 250um HellermannTyton IR fibre management system and offers the adaptability of Point to Point (P2P) or Point to Many Point (P2MP) applications.
The IR fibre management systems can be fitted with a maximum of 3 off tray splitters releasing all of the tray space for splicing. 
A wide range of splitter assemblies can be pre-installed reducing installation times and simplifying the connection process.

The HellermannTyton MDU S2 XL provides a cost effective solution for installing pre-terminated drop cables in P2P (Point to Point) or Point to Multi Point (P2MP) Fibre to the Home (FTTH) applications.
The enclosure has been designed to physically separate the feeder cable 250µm fibres from the customer connection points. Designed for indoor or outdoor use,  it delivers up to 32 drop cable customer connections.

The MDU S1XS has been designed as a Building Entry Point (BEP) to provide a fibre termination and network demarcation point internal to the connected premise in a Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network. In addition to providing an internal test point the enclosure can also accommodate up to 12 customer fibre connections.
